Battling the Self-Doubt

Here we go again.  I’ve written a post about wanting to win a makeover. Now will it ever see the light of day? I’m not sure yet.  I wrote it last night and I’ve been battling my self-esteem over posting it or not all day long.

It’s one of those yo-yo roller coaster things. First it’s yes, step out your comfort zone and put yourself out there. Go ahead be brave. Then it’s no, are you crazy why would you put yourself out there like that? For something you “might” win or more than likely NOT WIN. Is it worth it?

Ugh, have I ever told you I’m not fond of roller coasters? If I really wanted to do it I would have just posted it right away right? It wouldn’t really take me all day to debate the issue.

There is that little gremlin on my shoulder I heard about at Disney Social Media Moms conference. I want to just knock her off my shoulder but she’s making pretty good sense to me right now.

Oh by the way, welcome to my craziness. Rather than battle this one out in my head I thought I’d share it with you. Aren’t you lucky? Maybe you can help me contain the crazies right now.

Do you get like this? No, just me. Hmmm? I was hoping you had that little gremlin on your shoulder too and maybe you could tell me what to do with her.

Well I’ll let you find out if the little gremlin wins or not. If you see a post about wanting to win a makeover that means I successfully knocked her off. If not, well you’ll know she won – again!

  1. Big ((HUGS)). I think we always will have a little self-doubt to keep us in check. I struggle with this as well. Always keep the chin up and ask yourself? Will this help me grow? Will this give me motivation?

    You can do this!!

  2. You’re right Jen. And those are great questions to remember to ask myself.
