Do you love looking at flowers or ladybugs with your kids? How much joy do you get seeing your child’s face every day? Could you imagine not seeing that beautiful face ever again? I can’t but for some that is a reality they have to face right now.
Recently, I was speaking to a friend of mine and she told me about a special walk she is taking part in in the spring, March 14, 2009 to be exact. I thought to myself how wonderful and what a wonderful gesture on her part. I went to her walk donation page and began reading about why she chose to take part in the Vision Walk and my heart just sank inside me.
As she points out in her page, she is an active deaf and legally blind individual. I knew she was deaf but I didn’t know she suffered from Ushers. She’s a young married woman soon to gain her Master’s degree. I’m so proud of her accomplishments. I know she has so much more she wants to do and people she wants to help.
So, I’m asking you to visit her page, learn a little more about my friend, Tabitha and make a donation if you feel inclined to do so. Here is her VisionWalk page.
She’s at 70% towards her goal right now. I know together we can help her reach it. There is only hope if we help.
