I’m a shutter bug and I have had a Nikon camera since high school and yes, that was a long time ago.  I actually cried when my Nikon 35mm camera died. (I know I’m showing my age again.)  I’d still have it today if it hadn’t broken.  I tried a Nikon point and shoot but it just didn’t give me what I wanted.  This is my newest Nikon camera:  The Nikon D60 10.2MP Digital SLR Camera

I just love it.  The photos you see below are photos I’ve taken with this camera.  I’m no pro by far but I do love the way the photos turn out.   There are so many features I just love about this camera.

Features I Love:

  • Photo editing right in the camera.  I can zoom in, crop, edit, change a color photo to sepia or black and white, and more.  Don’t really need editing software much if at all.
  • So easy to use. Auto-focus does it all and so quickly. I rarely if ever miss a shot of those special quick moments.
  • I love the photo options from close-ups to high speed action shots.
  • The speed between shots.  One of my main complaints about other camera’s I’ve owned was the lag time between photos.  I don’t have that problem with the D60.
  • Even me, not the best photographer can take very nice photos with this camera with very little effort.
  • Very clear photos.

Stuff I don’t necessarily love:

  • Preview is just for previews.  Sometimes I wish I could just take the shot while looking at the preview pane rather than having to use the viewfinder.  A little difficult to do with glasses on, they kinda get in the way just a bit.
  • The weight.  It’s not heavy but it certainly isn’t a pocket sized point and shoot either that you can simply carry with you everywhere.
