Mr. Popper’s Penguins Opens in Theaters Today!

Mr. Poppers Penguins

If you have been looking for a movie the whole family can enjoy, let me just recommend Mr. Popper’s Penguins.  Now, I’ll be honest with you, while I was a bit hesitant as I’m not a Jim Carey fan, the movie was a lot of fun for the whole family.

Mr. Popper’s Penguins is a 97 minutes, family comedy, yet is Rated PG which opens today, June 17, 2011 directed by Mark Waters and stars Jim Carrey, Carla Gugino, and Angela Lansbury and the cutest more adorable six penguins.

I gotta tell you, those penguins are just the cutest.  My kids and husband were just laughing out loud at the antics.  My entire family enjoyed the free advance screening of Mr. Popper’s Penguins last weekend.

Not only were the penguins a hit, I really enjoyed the story line as well.  I think you will too. It takes these six penguins to help businessman (Jim Carrey) realize what truly is important in life.  Take just a few minutes and watch the preview and I’ll bet you will agree with me that this is one the entire family will enjoy.

  1. LOL, this looks hilarious! I’ve been a fan of Jim Carry since I was a kid, so I think this might be the perfect movie to show my kids and let them get hooked on his insanity as well!

  2. We are heading down to a drive-in theater tomorrow night to watch this movie with our girls. I remember reading the book over and over when I was little! Did you read the book? If so, how did the movie compare?

    • Christine,

I’ve actually never read the book although I did know the title but from what I suspect it doesn’t follow the story from the book but it was still a good movie.

Just don’t expect it to be the same story line.

Come back here and let me know how you enjoyed the movie or even if you didn’t. I’m curious how someone who has read the story takes it.
